Instructions

Make the Meatballs

  1. Mix – In a bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, Parmesan, egg, parsley, and salt and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. Shape – Roll into evenly sized meatballs.

  3. Bake – Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes, until golden and cooked through.

Prepare the Sauce

  1. Sauté – In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; cook until fragrant.

  2. Simmer – Stir in crushed tomatoes, basil, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, and sugar. Let simmer for 15–20 minutes until thickened and flavorful.

Cook the Pasta

  • Boil spaghetti in salted water according to package directions until al dente. Drain well.

Combine and Serve

  • Toss the pasta in the sauce, then top with baked meatballs.

  • Garnish with extra Parmesan and fresh basil.

  • Serve hot and enjoy a restaurant-worthy comfort dish at home.
