Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). -
Cook the Pasta Shells:
Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside. -
Prepare the Filling:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent. Drain any excess fat. -
Combine Ingredients:
In a large bowl, mix the beef mixture with ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, half of the Parmesan, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. -
Assemble the Stuffed Shells:
Spoon the beef and ricotta mixture into each cooked shell. Arrange the filled shells in a baking dish. -
Add Sauce and Cheese:
Pour marinara sauce over the shells. Sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. -
Bake:
Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25–30 minutes, until the cheese melts and the sauce is bubbly. -
Garnish and Serve:
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with fresh chopped basil and serve.
